Hung Jai Suk Suk, 雄仔叔叔 in Cantonese, is one of the few authors in Hong Kong to publish in Chinese and English and is regarded as a fine poet in both languages. He has published several books in Chinese, bilingual books, books on pedagogy, and he also loves the ‘language’ of music.

Are You Still Writing Poetry by Hung Jai (Yuen Che Hung) is an anthology of over 40 bilingual poems grouped in 5 sections: namely ‘Are you still writing poetry?’, ‘Story’, ‘Stance’, ‘The Profile of Jesus is Beautiful’, and ‘Back-and-forth with Madeleine’. This is his first bilingual poetry collection since 1985.  Hung Jai translates his own poems.

十六年前某個傍晚，詩人朋友問：「雄仔叔叔，你還有沒有寫詩﹖」，一語提醒了雄仔(阮志雄)對詩歌的堅持，也成就了這本詩集的名字《你還有沒有寫詩》。

雄仔上一本詩集《夜站》出版於一九八五年，當年他以筆名蕪虂作詩。此刻，他再次出版個人詩集，這次用真名阮志雄。三十多年，才有百多頁的詩嗎？雄仔不寫詩的時候，也確切地生活着。年輕時，他去流浪、教書、參與社運；有了孩子，他陪兒子在街上觀樹；現在，他聽小朋友講故事寫詩，與長大了的兒子散步。

這本書是雄仔流動的記憶。他嘗試追逐時間的軌跡，橫跨三個多年代書寫四十多首雙語詩歌，場景穿梭在家人之間、城市之中，裏面有溫情和關懷，也包含着不安和反叛。一些他敬愛的人、一些他不能忘記的社會歷史片段，也入了詩。本書有五個章節，分別為「你還有沒有寫詩？」、「故事」、「立場」、「耶穌的側臉很美」及「跟Madeleine的前言後語」。
